Beberapa kawasan di wilayah Petaling akan mengalami gangguan bekalan air sementara selama sehari iaitu dari 6 hingga 7 Feb berikutan kerja-kerja pemasangan dua unit sistem zon Injap Pengurang Tekanan(PRV) di SS1, Kampung Tunku, Wilayah Petaling.

Menurut kenyataan Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) di Kuala Lumpur hari ini, antara kawasan terbabit ialah keseluruhan SS1, sebahagian SS9A dan sebahagian Seksyen 22 yang akan mengalami gangguan bekalan air bermula 9 malam hingga 8 pagi keesokan hari melibatkan sebanyak 3,104 pintu rumah.

Pengguna dinasihatkan supaya menyimpan air secukupnya sepanjang tempoh gangguan tersebut dan menggunakan air secara berhemah.

Subramaniam and vice-president Datuk M. Saravanan (pic) received a death threat from an anonymous caller at the start of the event.The threat came in a phone call to Saravanan, who had called for a press conference in the building of the party headquarters in Kuala Lumpur. Several other party members and media personnel had already gathered for the briefing scheduled for 1pm, at the second floor of the building.While waiting for the press conference to start, Saravanan answered a call, in which the caller threatened to shoot him and Subramaniam.Saravanan put the call on loudspeaker and the person making the ‎threat could be heard speaking in Bahasa Malaysia.In response, Saravanan said: "Mari MIC hq boleh jumpa saya dan tembak saya" (Come to the MIC headquarters, you can meet me and shoot me").Saravanan and the party number two, Subramaniam, have been urging MIC president Datuk Seri G. Palanivel to act swiftly in responding to the Registrar of Societies' (RoS) findings that the elections of its central working committee members in 2013 were problematic and that fresh polls should be held.Palanivel has been accused of stalling, and yesterday announced changes in the MIC leadership at state level in a move seen by his critics as an attempt to further consolidate his hold on the party.In the changes to state party chiefs, Saravanan was replaced as Federal Territory State Liaison Committee chairman.MIC is a member of the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition and represents the ethnic Indian community. Saravanan is also the deputy minister of youth and sports.Earlier today, a commotion erupted outside the party headquarters as a group of about 15 men, described as "gangsters" by those affected, blocked the entrance into the building.They looked like "bouncers" and were barring MIC youth staff and members from entering the building, according to youth secretary Arvind Krishnan, of the incident that occurred at around 9.30am.Arvind said the men looked Malay and Indian, and claimed that they had been engaged by Datuk Kumar Aaman, the party's disputed secretary-general whose appointment was made by Palanivel.Another youth council member, M. Indonesia’s search for AirAsia crash victims could end in days

All 162 people on board were killed.Indonesia's civilian National Search and Rescue Agency said it would scour the sea for bodies for at least another week."Within one week we will evaluate (our search) depending on the result," agency chief Fransiskus Bambang Soelistyo told reporters. "If we can find one or two more bodies, that means we have the opportunity to prolong the operation."The military withdrew from the search on Tuesday, apologising to the victims' families for not being able to do more after a month of work.A multinational search and recovery operation has found 70 bodies in the Java Sea and had hoped to find more after finding the fuselage of the plane. But days of rough weather and poor underwater visibility hampered navy divers' efforts.Divers have recovered both the cockpit voice recorder and flight data recorder from the sea floor.Indonesia's National Transportation Safety Committee will submit its initial findings on the crash this week to the International Civil Aviation Organization, though only the final report will be made public.Investigators say they have yet to start their analysis of the aircraft's two black box flight recorders and have been compiling other data for the inquiry.Indonesian Transport Minister Ignasius Jonan has said that, based on radar data, the plane had climbed faster than normal in its final minutes, and then stalled.Investigators have found no evidence of foul play. – Reuters, January 28, 2015.

Setiausaha Agung PAS Datuk Mustafa Ali berkata, kerjasama antara PAS dan Pakatan Rakyat akan tetap diteruskan dan kukuh walaupun sekiranya Ketua Umum PKR Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim dimasukkan ke dalam penjara.

Ini kerana, Mustafa berkata, semasa Barisan Alternatif ditubuhkan, Anwar pada ketika itu berada di dalam penjara dan sebarang mesyuarat di pengerusikan oleh Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.


"Itu bukan sebab (PAS nak keluar Pakatan). Lagi kukuh Pakatan Rakyat sebab kita bertanggungjawab meneruskan (Pakatan)," katanya pada sidang media di ibu pejabat PAS hari ini.

Beliau berkata demikian bagi menjawab soalan pemberita ketika ditanya sama ada PAS akan keluar daripada Pakatan sekiranya keputusan Mahkamah Persekutuan pada 10 Februari depan memutuskan Anwar dipenjarakan.

Selain itu, ketika ditanya bagaimana situasi Pakatan sekiranya ketiadaan Anwar, Mustafa berkata ia tetap akan berjalan seperti biasa memandangkan Presiden PKR Wan Azizah dan timbalannya Mohamed Azmin Ali masih ada bagi melaksanakan tugas parti.

"Anwar tak ada, Kak Wan (Wan Azizah) ada, Azmin ada. Itu pimpinan dia (PKR), presiden, timbalan. Kita kerjasama dengan parti bukan dengan orang. Tak ada tu pun (Anwar) tak ada masalah. Waktu kita tubuhkan Barisan Alternatif dulu pun Anwar di dalam (penjara).

"Tapi masih berjalan. Kak Wan pengerusikan mesyuarat dan masa itu arwah (bekas presiden PAS) Ustaz Fadzil (Noor) pun ada," katanya lagi.

Keputusan rayuan terakhir Anwar terhadap hukuman dan sabitan kes liwat terhadapnya akan diumumkan pada 10 Februari ini.

Anwar, 67, sebelum ini dijatuhkan hukuman lima tahun penjara tetapi pasukan pendakwaan merayu hukuman lebih berat dikenakan.


Ekoran itu, Ketua Pemuda MCA Chong Sin Woon semalam berkata, hubungan PAS dan DAP mungkin menjadi lebih buruk sekiranya Anwar disabit.

Malah, Chong (kanan) berkata, jika Anwar dipenjarakan, Pakatan akan kehilangan salah seorang daripada orang penting yang boleh membawa bersama parti-parti dalam gabungan itu.
 
Chong turut meramalkan PAS dan DAP mungkin berpecah dan "kita mungkin menyaksikan Umno dan PAS membentuk gabungan lain di Kelantan".

Lebuh Chulia, George Town, is going through a property boom with many owners selling their pre-war shoplots or raising rentals that are driving out tenants. – The Malaysian Insider pic by Hasnoor Hussain, January 28, 2015.As property owners in the city of George Town find their old buildings appreciating in value, the Penang government's ruling to prohibit foreigners from buying landed properties on the island under RM2 million will only have a limited effect and may be counterproductive.State local government exco Chow Kon Yeow said the level of effectiveness of the cooling measure, which was introduced last year to curb speculation in Penang’s property market, was questionable when some foreigner buyers still found prices above RM2 million attractive."If a building owner wants to sell his property to a foreigner, he can up the price from RM1.9 million to RM2.5 million. That kind of price is still considered cheap to buyers from countries like Singapore and Hong Kong."In that way, such a cooling measure may not be so effective, and may even result in the opposite by boosting property prices when local owners find that their properties have higher values if they sell to foreigners," he said, adding that Malaysia was not like Thailand, where there was control on foreign ownership of properties.Such a situation may be a problem in George Town, where the Unesco world heritage site is located, if owners of pre-war buildings sold off their premises to foreign buyers or increased their rental.Chow said rental rates went up after the Rent Control Act was repealed in 1997, but some residents and businesses in the city managed to survive.He admitted that some tenants were in for another wave of rental hikes and evictions resulting from the property boom in recent years, which encouraged property owners in the city to increase their rental or sell off their premises for profit."It is very difficult for the state government to control property transactions."In recent years, the city had also seen many of its old buildings refurbished and converted into hotels and chic cafes either by their original or new owners, or tenants, to attract tourists.The latest of such projects is at Lebuh Chulia, where the owner of a row of shophouses is evicting her tenants by April 1 to refurbish the lots into a hotel. Some of the tenants, including a chemical supplier and a machine workshop, have been there for more than 50 years.Some concerned citizens are seeing these new tourism and commercial-driven developments as a threat to the city's remaining residents, old trades and businesses that give George Town its unique culture, character and charm.In some cases, the evictions spell an end to the businesses and trades all together because the tenants could not find a new place in the city to set up shop because of high rental rates.Although some of the trades are considered part of the city's heritage, there is no law to protect intangible heritage.Chow, whose state constituency of Padang Kota is partly made up of the world heritage site and its tangible and intangible heritage, said the state government was looking to the soon-to-be gazetted Special Area Plan (SAP) for the Unesco world heritage site as a preventive measure.He said once the SAP was gazetted, all future applications for planning permission and others would have to conform to the type of activities prescribed for a particular area in the heritage site.He said the heritage city would be divided into various precincts, and the land used for the different precincts restricted to certain types of activities."Any particular activity will have to conform to the plan, which will also ensure that there will not be too many of the same activity going on."The control the state can exercise to try to balance progress and heritage conservation in the heritage city is at the planning and development stages, using the SAP," he said, adding that the plan will hopefully be gazetted this year after its Bahasa Melayu translation is completed.The long-awaited SAP will guide and control development within the George Town World Heritage site, which has more than 90 Category 1 heritage buildings (monuments, ancient buildings gazetted under the National Heritage Act 2005 and formerly the Antiquities Act 1976) and more than 4,000 Category 2 buildings of special interest that need to be preserved.The plan, which takes into account the existing characteristics of the different areas in the heritage city, covers seven different building and land use activity zones, including tourism and leisure, trade, waterfront and jetty. – January 28, 2015.

กติกาการแข่งขัน

- ผู้เข้าแข่งขันจะอยู่ในกล่อง Singing Box ที่ลอยสูงจกพื้นที่เวที 3 เมตร แต่ละคนมีโอกาสร้องคนละ 1 เพลง (ความยาว 2.00 นาที) โดยมีข้อแม้ว่า ภายในเวลา 45 วินาที ผู้แข่งขันต้องได้รับ “คะแนนความรัก" จากผู้ชมและกรรมการใน Studio 100 คะแนนขึ้นไป จึงจะได้สิทธิ์ก้าวลงจาก Singing Box มาร้องเพลงบนเวทีจนครบ 2.00 นาที (โดย 10 วินาทีสุดท้ายก่อนหมดเวลา จะมีสัญญาณไฟไซเรนปรากฏขึ้น) แต่หากผ่านเวลา 45 วินาทีไปแล้ว ยังได้ “คะแนนความรัก" ไม่ถึง 100 คะแนน ผู้แข่งขันคนนั้น จะต้องหยุดร้องเพลง โดยไม่มีโอกาสเหยียบเวทีแห่งนี้เลย

- นักร้องที่มีคะแนนความรักมากที่สุด 2 อันดับแรก จะต้องไปลุ้น “คะแนนตัดสิน" พร้อมกันในช่วงสุดท้าย เพื่อชิงรางวัลเงินสด 30,000 บาท

Twitter threats to planes require delicate decisions

There have been at least 15 tweeted bomb threats in the past three days, leading to flight evacuations and cancellations around the country. Officials are investigating the incidents by tracking online footprints of people tweeting the bomb threats. (USA NEWS, USA TODAY)A bomb squad vehicle stands by as police search a Southwest Airlines jet in Atlanta this month after the flight was named in an online bomb threat.(Photo: David Goldman, AP)At least sixteen times in the past four days, a bomb threat on Twitter disrupted travel and frustrated airlines.Today, American Airlines Flight 1192 from Los Angeles landed safely in Chicago O'Hare at 5:48 p.m. CT after a tweet purportedly from the Islamic State threatened that there was a bomb on the 737-800.The tweet, written like some others from the terrorist group, said, "@AmericanAir No, There is a bomb on Flight 1192, We Are ISIS, we will (expletive) you guys up, #ISIS"Also today, a now-suspended Twitter account called @RansomTheThug claimed there was a bomb on board United Airlines flight 223, which was scheduled to travel from Newark, N.J., to Miami Tuesday afternoon. The flight was cancelled two days ago in preparation for the blizzard-like conditions which hit the Northeast Monday night and Tuesday, United Airlines spokeswoman Mary Ryan said.In previous incidents, searches turned up nothing, but the incidents made plain the power of one person on social media to make big trouble.Airlines won't comment on how often it happens, and the FBI, which is investigating, won't say who may be tweeting. But it's clear Twitter has given pranksters and terrorists an easy way to cause chaos.The problem is growing."We're seeing these new threats. In terms of the quantity of (online) threats we're seeing now, you just haven't seen it," said Glen Winn, former head of security at Northwest Airlines and United Airlines and an instructor at the University of Southern California School of Aviation Safety and Security.At least 10 threats were made Monday, some by hacker-type accounts. One led to a JetBlue flight from Boston to Palm Beach being returned to the gate before takeoff. The flight was canceled. The plane was searched and luggage rescreened; nothing hazardous was found.That followed a weekend of Twitter bomb threats against flights. Sunday, one commercial flight was diverted, and two others were evacuated. Saturday in Atlanta, two flights in the air were escorted to their landings by military F-16 fighter jets after bomb threats were tweeted.A Delta Air Lines flight from Los Angeles to Orlando was diverted to Dallas on Sunday after a bomb threat was reportedly made via Twitter.In Seattle, two arriving flights — a JetBlue flight from Long Beach, Calif., and a regional SkyWest jet from Phoenix — were evacuated away from other aircraft after they landed Sunday. "We're still assessing the online threats," said Ayn Dietrick-Williams, spokeswoman for the Seattle FBI office.Twitter did not respond to a request for comment Tuesday evening.How serious is an online threat?"In the history of aviation sabotage, I don't believe there's ever been a threat called in where there's actually been a bomb," said Douglas Laird, a consultant who is a former security director at Northwest Airlines.Still, airlines refer all threats to their security divisions, which evaluate their credibility based on confidential criteria, Laird said. Depending on the merit of the threat, a flight could be diverted to the nearest airport, so it could be searched with bomb-sniffing dogs, he said.Airlines are required to report any security threats to a plane that is in or headed for the USA to the Transportation Security Administration. The guidelines for what requires a report were deliberately left vague because the TSA preferred that airlines report too many incidents rather than too few, according to a Government Accountability Office report in 2007."They make a judgment call as to whether they should take it seriously or whether there's not complete information to act on," said Jeff Price, associate professor of aviation management at Metropolitan State University in Denver. "They take all threats seriously, but they have to decide whether they should respond and take it to another level," such as diverting the flight.He says the response is based on how specific the threat is – whether it names an airline, a flight or a destination. "The more specific things get, the more you have to respond," he said.Last April, a 14-year-old Dutch girl was arrested after she tweeted a terror threat to American Airlines. A Twitter user calling herself Sarah and using the handle @QueenDemetriax tweeted, "@AmericanAir hello my name's Ibrahim and I'm from Afghanistan. I'm part of Al Qaida and on June 1st I'm gonna do something really big."American Airlines responded from its Twitter account: "@QueenDemetriax Sarah, we take these threats very seriously. Your IP address and details will be forwarded to security and the FBI." The girl was charged in the Netherlands with "posting a false or alarming announcement," according to a news account of the incident provided by Twitter.The investigations are looking for online "footprints" of the people who sent the threats, Price said. "There are a lot of people going 'You're so stupid,' because they can track the IP address" where an online threat originated. "That's actually what the FBI is doing. You leave an address footprint wherever you go, and those can be followed."He compared it to "calling in a bomb threat using caller ID" and says Internet service providers are presumably cooperating with the investigation."Probably the biggest question people ask is, 'Why such a serious response? Isn't there a way to tell if there's (an actual threat) with all our technology?'" Price said. "It is a balance. You don't want to land every plane that gets a bomb threat. Instead of feet of snow, residents locked down in a state of emergency, got mere inches.In frost-bitten places like South Dakota and Minnesota, they have a term for the weather we wound up with Tuesday: Partly cloudy. Perhaps the only thing "historic" about the storm, at least in New Jersey, were the extraordinary apologies that chastened meteorologists issued afterward.Clearly, mistakes were made. Now, somebody has to pay for it.That "somebody" would be you.For all its unrealized potential, the storm could still pack an economic wallop. The forecasters may have gotten that part right, at least.Consider the unnecessary overtime for road crews and other public employees.The lost wages and tax revenue from stores and others businesses that shut down early Monday and kept employees home Tuesday, in anticipation of something far more ... dramatic.The vacations, business trips and job interviews disrupted by the pre-emptive cancellation of thousands of airline flights across the Northeast. The extra aggravation caused Monday by those two words that every working parent of school-age children dreads: early dismissal.All the overkill adds up, in ways that may be impossible to tease out precisely.Preparing for the worstMichael Drewniak, a spokesman for New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, said the state had little choice but to react to the forecasts the way it did."It's premature, I think, to assess costs. Regardless, it is the state's primary responsibility to protect the public in weather events like these, and the manpower and resources must be put in place to do the job," he said in an email. "Of course, like everyone else we rely on the forecasters' predictions, which were for a severe, even historic storm. Those predictions held until late last night, unfortunately."Local officials, too, felt their hands were tied.The city of Long Branch hired private contractors, had employees work overtime, and made sure it had an extra 500 pounds of salt on hand, expecting a bonafide blizzard."It's going to cost us big time with all our advance preparations, but what are you going to do?" said Fred Migliaccio, the city's public works director.Whatever "big time" means, you can multiply it by several hundred, considering all the other towns and counties that did the same thing.While Ocean County Administrator Carl W. Block said it was too soon to estimate the amount of money the storm and its hype had cost taxpayers, he expected to have a preliminary report ready for the Board of Chosen Freeholders' meeting Wednesday afternoon."There are a lot of county employees who heeded the dire predictions and took (Tuesday) off, so there's lost productivity," Block said.Still, he added, had the forecast correctly called for several inches of snow, the number of workers and equipment involved would have been about the same."We would have been salting the county roads and plowing," Block said. "We would have invested the same amount of time and money in getting the plows ready, on all the mechanics, all the precautions we've taken."Added Block: "If there had been three feet of snow on the ground this morning, we would have been plowing for the next two days and that's where the financial impact would have been felt the most.""We were ready for something big," Sea Bright Mayor Dina Long said of the preparations in her town. "Hopefully, we don't get complacent next time."Businesses impactedHeeding forecasters' dire warnings, some businesses planned to close Tuesday long before the storm ever reached the state.United Airlines, which accounts for the bulk of flights in and out of Newark Liberty International Airport, announced on Monday it was halting operations in the Northeast region on Tuesday.Banks and credit unions across the state shut down early on Monday, and many remained closed Tuesday, even though the forecast didn't pan out. On Monday, Wells Fargo workers were stacking sandbags to protect flood-prone branches in Ocean City, Seaside Park and Monmouth Beach. The bank announced Monday that all 305 of its branches would be closed Tuesday. The busy Northeast corridor was in line for a winter wallop that was predicted to bring anywhere from a few inches to a couple of feet of snow from northern New Jersey to Maine. Snowfall is heavy but less than predicted in many places. (Jan. 27) APWith his car still snowbound early Tuesday, Russell Capo, 66, walked six blocks from his Point Pleasant home to make a deposit at OceanFirst Bank so he could pay his electric bill on time. When he arrived, he found that the Bridge Avenue branch was closed."I would hope that they would be as accurate as possible for the working man and the general public, because our lives have to continue, even in a storm. There are things we still have to do," Capo said of the errant forecast.Other businesses that made plans to close Tuesday, including Best Buy in Eatontown, wound up calling employees in, in hopes of making the best of a bad day."If they're uncomfortable about (driving), we don't force them," store manager John Schneider said.At the Orchard Park sledding hill in Wall Tuesday, some parents who stayed home because of the forecast said they probably could have gone to work without much difficulty, but no one was complaining."You have to err on the side of caution," said Michele Spang, 50, of Spring Lake Heights, a specialist at the Apple store at Freehold Raceway Mall. The store closed early Monday ahead of the storm and it remained closed Tuesday, even though the mall itself had a delayed opening at noon."People make a big deal about being off, and they're all over social media (about the forecast being wrong) but it doesn't matter," Spang said. "It's a great day to be off and enjoy your friends and family."Rich and Nadine Demczyszyn, who own a printing business in Jackson, On the Spot Graphics, said they reluctantly took the day off, too, since many of their clients in northern New Jersey and Long Island had closed for the day."We're not a huge company," said Rich Demczyszyn, of Jackson. "It hurts."The couple may recoup at least some of their losses through sales of a storm-related T-shirt they began selling online Tuesday."I survived the Blizzard of 2015" it reads, tongue firmly in cheek.Winners and losersDavid A. Robinson, the New Jersey state climatologist and a Rutgers geography professor, said, as with any storm, there are bound to be winners and losers. The former group, he added, would include the supermarkets and hardware stores that were overrun with shoppers prior to the storm."Some people have benefited from this, others haven't, but overall, when you stop the economy, clearly there's an impact," he said.Some of the economic costs, he added, can be mitigated by the fact that so many people today are able to do their work from home."I mean, Rutgers is closed today, but I've done nothing but sit in front of my computer (working) since 7 o'clock this morning," he said. "You're the 12th person I've spoken to, and there's more waiting."Virtually all those calls, of course, were from reporters wanting to know what went wrong with the forecast."I knew when I woke up today that it was going to be a day of 'splaining," he said. PAC belum bercadang panggil 1MDB

Jawatankuasa Kira-kira Wang Negara (PAC) belum bercadang memangggil 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) bagi menjawab persoalan mengenai pelaburan dan operasi syarikat itu kerana prestasi kewangannya sudah diaudit firma antarabangsa terkemuka.

Pengerusi PAC Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed berkata  bagaimanapun pihaknya menyambut baik jika Presiden dan Pengarah Eksekutif Kumpulan 1MDB yang baharu, Arul Kanda Kandasamy mahu hadir secara sukarela bagi memberikan penjelasan di hadapan PAC.

"Kami tidak akan memanggil 1MDB, bagaimanapun jika Arul Kanda mahu hadir secara sukarela bagi memberikan penjelasan di hadapan PAC...ia sesuatu yang amat dialu-alukan," katanya dalam satu kenyataan.

Beliau berkata setakat ini, PAC berpendapat kedudukan kewangan 1MDB belum berdepan dengan sebarang masalah memandangkan ia sudah diaudit firma audit antarabangsa, dan belum ada bukti kukuh syarikat berkenaan menghadapi sebarang masalah.

1MDB, syarikat pembangunan strategik milik penuh kerajaan Malaysia, pada 13 Jan lepas memaklumkan telah menebus semula sepenuhnya US$2.318 bilion yang dilaburkan oleh syarikat itu dalam dana berdaftar di Kepulauan Cayman.

Arul Kanda dalam kenyataannya berkata dana itu merupakan pembayaran semula pinjaman yang disediakan kepada PetroSaudi pada 2011 dalam bentuk nota-nota Murahaba susulan penamatan perjanjian sebelum ini yang dimeterai untuk menjalin usaha sama dengan syarikat itu.

Nota-nota berkenaan yang dibayar sepenuhnya dan faedah, kemudian dilaburkan dalam dana yang dikawal selia oleh Pihak Berkuasa Monetari Cayman.

Sebelum ini, 1MDB menebus US$1.215 bilion yang mewakili 60 peratus dana yang dilabur, dan kini menebus tambahan US$1.103 bilion yang membabitkan baki daripada sejumlah US$2.318 bilion yang dilaburkan pada asalnya.

Nur Jazlan berkata PAC belum  berpeluang membincangkan mengenai isu 1MDB secara rasmi dalam mesyuaratnya dan belum bercadang memanggil syarikat berkenaan bagi memberikan sebarang penjelasan.

Beliau juga berkata isu Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Kuala Lumpur 2 (KLIA2) dan 1MDB adalah dua perkara yang berbeza kerana KLIA2 adalah berkaitan dengan kenaikan kos, pertukaran reka bentuk, kelewatan dan kualiti pembinaan serta pemilihan kontraktor.

PAC telah memanggil Malaysia Airports Holding Berhad (MAHB) kerana syarikat itu merupakan pengurus projek KLIA2 bagi menjelaskan mengenai perkara-perkara tersebut dan PAC tidak menyiasat mengenai kewangan MAHB yang diaudit oleh firma audit terkemuka antarabangsa, katanya.

"Orang ramai perlu faham dua isu ini dengan jelas, PAC tidak menyiasat MAHB sebaliknya hanya projek KLIA2. Dalam konteks 1MDB kita tidak bercadang memanggil mereka kerana kewangan syarikat ini sudah diaudit, jadi jangan timbul lagi sebarang kekeliruan lagi selepas ini," katanya.

Nur Jazlan bagaimanapun berharap kerajaan membenarkan Jabatan Audit Negara   melakukan audit prestasi terhadap projek KLIA2 selaras dengan syor serta rumusan Laporan PAC yang dibentangkan pada November lepas.

Race is a common column in Malaysian official forms, but calls have grown in recent weeks to do away with the column. – The Malaysian Insider file pic, January 26, 2015.In the wake of Sabah and Sarawak’s decision to drop the “lain-lain" (others) category in official forms, experts want Putrajaya to consider abolishing the race category altogether, saying it serves no purpose except to perpetuate racial divisions.
Tan Sri Ramon Navaratnam (pic, right), chairman of the Centre for Public Policy Studies at the Asian Strategy and Leadership Insititute (Asli), said the race category was initially introduced to help the Bumiputeras, but it was now no longer relevant.“Originally, it was important for political and economic reasons in that there was this NEP (New Economic Policy) which wanted to identify Malays and Bumiputeras in order to give them a head start. But the basis for that argument is not so strong today.“Because, whereas the Malays were neglected in the past, over 55 years they have been given preference, and they have done very well. Even the NEM (New Economic Model) focuses on helping the bottom 40%, regardless of race," he told The Malaysian Insider.Saying the race category created artificial divisions that went against the national grain and caused disunity and polarisation, Ramon urged the government to phase out the entire practice.“Measure the pros and cons and see where we can start selectively to slowly phase out race and religious categorisation. After all, we are all Malaysians. What is the need to divide us?"He said there were cases where such categories were necessary, such as for research to identify ethnic groups that required policy changes to improve their quality of life.“But for passports and other documents, there’s no need for race or religion for that matter. Your race and religion are your personal matter.“When we have race and religion categorisation all the time, then our mindset is also racial and parochial. When are we going to stop this?"
Dr Lim Teck Ghee (pic, left) of the Centre for Policy Initiatives (CPI), said “very few countries" practise such racial distinctions in official forms, and Putrajaya should have very concrete reasons to continue this practice.“If you’re looking at international practice, it’s really unusual to have this. So I think it’s realistic to do away with the race category. It’s a reasonable request, going by international standards."He said if Putrajaya was concerned about instilling national unity and patriotism, abolishing the race category was a good step forward.“Once we put labels there, we are basically perpetuating racial divisions. So I think the onus is on the government to explain why it’s doing this. If exceptions need to be made, they must be justified."He added that some people may see the government as having sinister intentions for continuing such a practice.“They will ask, is the government wanting to be partial, biased on the basis of race? Why should race come into, for example, vehicle ownership, or when applying for licence?“Unless the government has some kind of agenda, there appears to be no good reason for this practice to be continued."On Wednesday, the Sabah government decided to drop the “lain-lain" category in official forms, after Sarawak did away with the category on January 18.Sabah State Reform Party chief Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan lauded the move, but said he preferred if the race and religion categories were taken out of government forms altogether to stop discrimination.He questioned the need for people to specify their race and religion, such as for employment-seeking purposes."If it is for a job application, shouldn’t one be judged by his or her merit, his or her education and working experience? What does religion or one’s race have to do with his or her ability to handle a task? It is irrelevant," he told news portal The Rakyat Post.“Why not go beyond this? We should start eliminating the two items from forms to reduce the existing racial and religious tensions affecting Malaysia," he said, adding that people should be encouraged to call themselves “Malaysian" in respect of the 1Malaysia concept.But state Speaker, Datuk Seri Salleh Said Keruak said doing away with the race and religion columns would not solve the problem, and said it was more important for people to accept their differences and respect each other. – January 26, 2015.

Umno Pulau Pinang menyifatkan tindakan kerajaan negeri yang mahu melaksanakan pilihan raya Pihak Berkuasa Tempatan (PBT) di negeri itu sebagai sikap tamak kuasa.
    
Pengerusi Badan Perhubungan Umno Pulau Pinang Datuk Zainal Abidin Osman berkata cadangan kerajaan negeri pimpinan Ketua Menteri Lim Guan Eng yang mahu pilihan raya itu diadakan juga membuktikan mereka mahu memegang kuasa pentadbiran di peringkat ketiga.
    
"Hakikatnya pilihan raya PBT memang tidak sesuai diadakan kerana ia mampu menimbulkan pergolakan kuasa dalam pentadbiran dalaman. Apabila kita mendedahkan PBT kepada hal ehwal politik, kita juga sebenarnya menggadaikan masa depan pengurusan pentadbiran negeri.
    
"Selepas ini, beribu-ribu orang hanya pandai berpolitik tetapi tidak boleh buat kerja," katanya kepada pemberita selepas merasmikan Majlis Keluargaku Ahli Umno dan Daftar Pemilih, di bangunan Tranformasi Umno Permatang Pauh, di Bukit Mertajam hari ini.
    
Turut hadir Setiausaha Umno negeri Datuk Musa Sheikh Fadzir dan Ketua Umno Bahagian Permatang Pauh Datuk Mohd Zaidi Mohd Said.

Isu pilihan raya PBT menjadi polemik hangat apabila DAP ingin melaksanakan cadangan itu di Pulau Pinang selepas ia dimansuhkan kerajaan pusat pada 1976.
    
Bagaimanapun, ia ditentang pelbagai pihak termasuk rakan sekutunya, PAS, yang mendakwa pelaksanaan pilihan raya PBT itu akan mencetuskan insiden rusuhan kaum seperti peristiwa 13 Mei 1969.
    
Sementara itu, Zainal Abidin berkata Umno Pulau Pinang berjaya mendaftarkan sebanyak 3,500 pemilih baharu dalam tempoh tiga bulan sejak Oktober tahun lepas menerusi Fasa 1 Program Daftar Pemilih Negeri.
   
Katanya jumlah memberangsangkan itu membuktikan Umno masih kekal relevan kepada masyarakat Melayu Pulau Pinang.

รายการระเบิดเที่ยงแถวตรง หน่วยรบเฉพาะกิจกองพันที่ 555 ค่ายพิทักษ์ธรณินทร์หรือค่ายกระสุนดินดำได้ถูกจัดตั้งขึ้นมา ณ.หมู่บ้านกระสุนดินดำเพื่อทำภารกิจลับบางอย่าง โดยมีการรวบรวมทหารผู้มีความสามารถในด้านต่างๆ มารวมกันโดยที่ผู้ที่ถูกคัดเลือกไม่รู้ด้วยซ้ำว่าภารกิจลับนั้นคืออะไร ผู้ที่ถูกคัดเลือกทั้งหมดต้องมาอาศัยอยู่ในค่ายกระสุนดินดำ เพื่อทำการฝึกฝนและพัฒนาความสามารถทางด้านต่างๆ โดยมีครูฝึกคือ จ่าเท่ง(เท่ง เถิดเทิง) ที่ทำหน้าที่เป็นคนดูแลทหารทุกนาย รวมทั้ง จ่าโหน่ง (โหน่ง ชะชะช่า) ที่เป็นหนึ่งในทหารที่ถูกคัดเลือกมาด้วยความสามารถในการดมกลิ่นที่เป็นเลิศ, ดินปืน (กอล์ฟ พิชญะ)ผู้มีความสามารถในการใช้อาวุธต่างๆ ได้อย่างแม่นยำ และ โอ่ง(รอน ภัทรภณ) หนุ่มราชบุรี พูดเหน่อมีความสามารถในการคำนวนตัวเลขที่แม่นยำ จ่าเท่ง ต้องฝึกให้ จ่าโหน่ง, ดินปืน, และ โอ่ง มีความสามารถรอบด้านเพื่อรับภารกิจจากผู้ใหญ่ ทั้งหมดต้องอาศัยอยู่ในค่ายทหารแห่งนี้ แต่แทนที่หน่วยรบพิเศษจะได้ทำภารกิจที่สำคัญ กลับต้องคอยแก้ปัญหาให้กับคนในหมู่บ้านนี้อยู่เสมอ ปัญหาหลายอย่างเกิดขึ้นเพราะ ยอร์ช หรือ ยอดชาย (ตั๊ก บริบูรณ์) ชาวบ้านที่ชอบนำเรื่องวุ่นวายต่างๆ เข้ามาในหมู่บ้านทำให้ทหารหน่วยนี้ต้องคอยช่วยจัดการกับเรื่องราววุ่นวายให้เสมอ นอกจากนี้ ยังมีเรื่องราว ความรักของเหล่าทหาร ไม่ว่าจะเป็น ดินปืน ที่ชอบ พิมพ์ หรือ พญ.พิมพ์สยาม (เต้ย จรินทร์พร) แต่ก็มีอุปสรรคเพราะ พิมพ์ไม่ชอบทหารเพราะ พ่อพิมพ์ที่เป็นทหารทิ้งแม่พิมพ์ไปตอนที่แม่เพิ่งท้องพิมพ์ ดินปืนต้องพยายามพิชิตใจพิมพ์ให้ได้ ส่วน จ่าเท่งและจ่าโหน่ง ที่หลงรัก พญ.พิรุณ เหมือนกัน แต่หมอพิรุณก็ไม่ได้รู้สึกอะไรด้วย แถมยัง หลอกด่าเท่งโหน่งอยู่เสมอ และ โอ่ง ที่ชอบ ลูกอม (กัสจัง จิรันธนิน ) น้องสาว ยอดชาย เรื่องราวการฝึกและความรักของพวกเค้าเหล่านี้ จะสนุกสนานแค่ไหนต้องติดตามชมกัน
